COMEDY: Love Actually and The Hangover

Both sequences are different as Love Actually gives the clues of how it is going to be a rom com. Also, we have Bill Nighy starting off with being such an idiot and getting song words wrong which again suggests it will be funny. The text is is white and red symbolising christmas, love and white as a blank canvas that the comedy will cover. In the Hangover it is completely different as it opens in the desert and Las Vegas which gives the audience an impression of being a gambling action film however it is incredibly funny.

GANGSTER: Pulp Fiction and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

Pulp Fiction opens differently suggesting it is a gangster film because of the guns and smoking. However, it does not reveal the main characters like the other film does. Both use text that is contrasting so it stands out.
